This is surprisingly good quick-service Mexican food. Soft tacos with shredded pork were delicious and the beans were excellent. Nachos were tasty. Churros were good but a bit tough although the caramel dipping sauce was outstanding and did not go to waste (but to waist). No air conditioned seating available but seats with lake views are under cover.

Easily the most memorable lunch during our Disney vacation. We got a little bit of everything for our party of 12: barbocoa beef tacos, multiple salads with chicken, chips and guacamole and nachos. My favorite? The indulgence of the nachos--super yummy and messy, but so worth it. Throw in a frozen margarita and a modelo and we were happy campers!!! Arriba!!!!!!

Little to no wait to order. Food was ready quickly. Portion sizes were as expected or larger especially the Nachos. Those with less than hearty appetites could easily share. Corn tortillas for the Fish Tacos were freshly prepared. Would have liked more options for salsa (Verde and Hot). Seating is vastly improved since remodel. Still can be somewhat limited especially for parties of more than 4.

La Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion is one of my favorite places to eat in EPCOT (and probably all of Walt Disney World). There were honestly times that my husband and I would spend our entire day in a different park and then make our way over to EPCOT just to have nachos here for dinner. That being said, the nachos are insanely good and I really don't think I've had better nachos anywhere else. They're messy but they're beyond fantastic. I love hanging out in the outdoor seating area and watching the birds and squirrels. The animals are very brave though and there's a very good chance that they'll attempt to go after your food. There was one day that my husband got up to go get napkins and a bird came swooping in and stole some of his nachos. I found it fairly entertaining, but then again, I wasn't the one with missing nachos (until my husband stole some of mine because I didn't defend his food from the swooping seagull). Definitely stop by La Cantina de San Angel if you're looking for an insanely awesome nacho experience. Just make sure you're prepared to use your body as a shield to protect your food from the swooping and climbing animals. After all, they're fans of insanely awesome nacho experiences too.

Not sure why Yelp marked the other listing as "moved," but ok, I'll review it again. We use to love this place before they revamped it and changed the menu. Bad Disney... very, very bad! Want a quick review from me? Here ya go: Do not eat here. Do not waste your money. We've had the cheese empanadas, the nachos, and both the beef and chicken tacos. Everything tastes like cardboard. According to my husband, cardboard tastes better. The only thing that has flavour is the salsa and it tastes like ketchup. So, if you want to spend a fortune and eat ketchup flavoured cardboard, then stop here for a meal. My advice? Move along because EVERYTHING else at Epcot is better!

I don't know why there are such negative reviews for this place. At Epcot it seems to be the "best" spot for food b/c of the great views and it's one of the first countries to visit along the circle unless you begin from the other side which is Canada. My friends and I got the Disney dining plan so this place counted as a quick service. Maybe if I paid retail I would think it wasn't worth it...but as a quick service meal I enjoyed it. I do want to start off by saying we were starving so maybe that effected my opinion of the food. I ordered a cheese empanada and it was what I expected. I love cheese and it was cheesy along with some sauce on top and extra cheese. The cole slaw was a nice touch...and on the condiments bar they had different sauces and the green sauce was delicious. I also had the churros..I forgot what type of sweet sauce it was but it was satisfying. I almost enjoy the smaller churros better. Our quick service meal also came with a free drink and the Mexican soda was a great idea. It was so delicious and had real sugar!

Authentic Mexican food with normal Disney markup. Inside seating was plentiful on New Years when I went for lunch. Tacos Barbacoa are tasty and served with rice and beans. Nachos look nice too as does guacamole with chips.

Atmosphere: pretty place both inside and out. Nice water side seating. Beautiful Mexican artifacts and decor inside. Food: I went for lunch and had the chicken dish. Basic chicken with rice, beans, corn, and all that other Mexican stuff. It was okay at best. The chicken was seasoned well but the overall meal tasted somewhat like a lean cuisine frozen item you can pick up at a grocery store. My mom had the nachos and they looked basic, but good. Overall: Ok place, only reason why I am giving this a 4 star and not a 3 is because the indoor seating is beautiful and perfect on a hot day, and I had a Dos Equis draft that kept me content :)

Awesome tacos de barbacoa. The beans and rice were good, but a little bland. They have hot salsa at the condiment station so I put it on the rice. Tasted amazing!

You can find the standard Mexican fare at this restaurant located adjacent to the lake at the Mexican Pavilion. As with many of Disney's eateries, it's pricey. The food is good, however, unless you're able to score a table by the lake I would skip and eat at the restaurant located inside the Mexican Pavilion. The prices are fairly comparable, and you'll have a meal experience. Like all the other countries in the World Showcase, La Cantina dell San Angel, is the QSR to their main restaurant. These country inspired QSRs cater to folks that don't want to make reservations at their restaurants, want to grab a quick bite, or simply want to get a small taste of the country they're visiting. In conclusion, if you MUST eat in Mexico, don't want to eat in their main restaurant, then go ahead a get a fix at this location.

Just awful. Biggest Disney disappointment I've ever experienced. Taco Bell has better food, and yet this place will charge you more than $10 for poorly cooked, odd tasting crap. They also changed the menu a few years ago, and now there is no variety. Can't even get a bean and cheese burrito here! Walk to another pavilion just a minute away if you want a tasty, quick service meal! China is just around the corner, and the food is so much better!

Worst decision ever. I understand that Disney is overpriced but with being overpriced I expect the quality to be higher especially from Disney world. Oh my god I simply had the guacamole with chips and it was awful. The guacamole was flavorless and it's so easy to make that I'm at a loss for words as to how is it possible to make terrible guacamole. The chips literally tasted like cardboard. I regret buying ANYTHING from this place at all.

I had originally written this review back when I had visited this sorry little excuse for a taco stand, but for some reason, Yelp has "Moved" them to a new business page, so I'll summarize my original review here. This is the taco stand that is in the Mexico section of the Epcot World attraction. It is outdoor dining. There is another restaurant that has indoor seating and has a bigger menu. Many of the reviews that I am reading seem to confuse these 2 different entities. So, to be very clear, this is a review of the taco stand that is in Epcot, where you have to go up to the window to place your order, and they only have outdoor seating overlooking the lake, as best as I could tell. Their menu is very simple, they only offer chicken or beef tacos, cheese empenadas, and nachos. Our group of 5 ordered all of their dishes so we could try them all, and we were sorely disappointed. The only thing worth ordering would be the nachos. The tacos are a 3" corn tortilla with a little bit of meat, and a dribble of salsa. That's it. No other toppings that you would normally expect and routinely get, even at Taco Bell (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, guacemole, etc....) And then they make it a "platter" by adding a plateful of plain old corn chips. I'm used to a platter adding refried beans, rice, and maybe a little guacemole salad, but not here. Don't waste your time or money on the tacos (especially the taco platters). If you find yourself stuck eating here, just get the nachos, as they were the best option on the menu. But even better yet, just eat somewhere else. We got stuck here because we started the different countries on the other side, and worked our way across, ending in Mexico. It was 8pm, and the park closed at 9pm, so we thought we could grab a quick meal at this little taco stand, but what a disappointment. There are so many better choices in Epcot & Disney, not sure how this place continues to stay in business there.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
